Southern Utah Real Estate

        I wanted to make a broad post about Southern Utah real estate.  The market in Southern Utah is still strong!  We are coming off the best year ever for Southern Utah real estate and we could never expect to maintain those numbers.  It is really quite simple.  The numbers for the last half of 2006 were very comparable with the numbers for the last half of 2004 and much better then the numbers for 2003 or any previous year.   To me this does not mean the bubble is bursting, it just means we aren’t having the best year in history like we did the year before.  Can you go out and buy a house and have it be worth 25% more then it was 6 months earlier like you could in 2005?  NO but you can still find good deals in our market and we are still seeing really good appreciation in the price of homes. 
 

         Southern Utah Real Estate is still very desirable, many people from Southern California and Las Vegas still want to move here and the prices are still at a point where I makes economical sense to do so.  Southern Utah has a lot to offer, National Parks like Zions, Bryce, and Lake Powell, amazing weather for instance Cedar City has 4 amazing seasons and St. George never really gets cold.   We have lakes, mountains, hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, Mountain Climbing, and amazing hiking.   We also have clean air and almost no pollution or traffic.   Best of all our prices are still lower then most areas in the Western United States.
