With average temperatures in the 60′s there is no better time to enjoy the Brian Head area than in the spring.
Recognized for excellent downhill skiing, snow boarding and other winter sports, Brian Head, Utah has been known to inspire awe. There are actually two peaks or mountains that form the center of skiing in Brian Head, Brian Head Peak, and Navajo Peak. Starting at an elevation of 9,600 feet and soaring to a height of 11,307 feet, the area offers spell binding vertical drops and an average of 425 inches of snow each year. There are 53 trails over 540 acres. It’s a true snow sport lovers heaven. In town you’ll find sleigh rides, snowmobile trails and ATV trails.
Brian Head also offers spectacular warm weather sports, including mountain biking, disc golf, hiking and chair-lift viewing. There is also horseback riding and some wonderful fly fishing too.
It’s unclear exactly how Brian Head got its name. One story tells that the original Brian was a geologist; others insist the area was named after William Jennings Bryan, presidential candidate. It is clear, however that since the area is actually a headland of the Markagunt Plateau, it comes by the second half of its name quite naturally.
Real estate in Brian Head is just as exciting as its recreation. You can find cozy second homes in all sizes, some suitable for renting to tourists who make Brian Head their mountain destination. There are also, large and small condos, lovely custom homes for year around living. Buildable lots can be found in and near town, and larger acreages, some with year around access, are available as well that are perfect for your dream home in the high country.
