Cedar City Aquatics Center: Make a Splash this Winter!

One of the things I love most about my Cedar City home is the fact that it is located amid various microclimates. I can ski in the morning in Brian Head and golf in the afternoon in St. George. But, I would be lying if I didn't say winters can get long here and the cold makes it difficult to get outside. That's why I'm grateful for municipal programs and facilities like the Cedar City Aquatic Center and Lake on the Hill.

My children love a family day or evening at the pool! It offers a great atmosphere and something for everyone, much of it for free. An amazing splash pad features slippery slides, climbing equipment and fountains in a shallow pool where kids will play together for hours!

The hot tub is a great place to relax and chat with neighbors. A huge water slide is the main feature and you would not believe the exercise people of all ages get climbing the stairs to slide over and over again at our Cedar City Aquatics Center!

Whether you float, swim, walk or run down the lazy river, you will enjoy the gently flowing current that will carry you around the curvy water feature. People use it as a clean, warm and inspirational place to water walk early in the morning. Children have a blast going around and around.

A separate indoor lap pool offers a fantastic option for winter exercise! In the summer, outdoor pools make summer days easy and fun.

Kids are sometimes starving after a good swim, the snack counter offers reasonably-priced goodies for starving swimmers.

But wait, this center offers more!

Not into swimming? The Cedar City Aquatics Center also offers basketball facilities, meeting rooms and a gym!

I just can't say enough about what an amazing facility this is. Be sure to reach out to the center for holiday hours and group pricing. Check out the birthday party room too!
